Hannes joined eCAPITAL initially in 2014 and has been a Managing Partner since 2024. Previous career stages include roles as Venture Partner at eCAPITAL (2021-2024) and, in parallel, as Financial Director at an industrial technology company and several advisory mandates in different settings, ranging from corporate to government-sponsored to a family-business holding. Prior to joining eCAPITAL in 2014, Hannes was at Innogy Venture Capital (a corporate VC in renewable energy and cleantech), worked in project- and M&A valuations at German utility company RWE Innogy, peeked into M&A investment banking at Morgan Stanley, and started his career as a financial analyst in the automotive sector with Robert Bosch. Hannes is a general manager by training, holding a bachelor’s degree in international business administration from the DHBW Stuttgart and an MBA degree from the Tuck School of Business (Dartmouth College, USA).
Besides work, Hannes likes travelling and being active outdoors, and he does not shy away from any household repair or home improvement task.
