In November 2022, the successful first closing of the new fund eCAPITAL V in the amount of € 100 million took place. This is the highest first closing in the history of eCAPITAL.

The sum corresponds to the volume of Fund IV and already 50% of the targeted total volume of the fund eCAPITAL V. With the new fund, eCAPITAL makes investments in disruptive deeptech companies with a positive impact on society.

eCAPITAL is supported by three of the most successful German start-up entrepreneurs of recent years. Christoph Ostermann, Stephen Weich and Cornelius Patt, who each managed to realize the largest venture capital exits in 2019 – 2021. As investors and venture partners, they now support eCAPITAL in finding sustainable start-ups whose success can each make a major impact on reducing CO2 emissions. The fund has already made four promising investments.
