Great potential of universities often still unused

If we look at universities as drivers of development and innovation, then the answer to this question is only a “limited yes”. Even though the majority of universities have integrated start-up support into their higher education policy for several years now, the potential is far from being fully exploited. If we rank among the leading nations in the field of research, the number of start-ups founded at German universities is just moderate.
