FMC voted among the Silicon 100 of the EE Times

Since April 2004, journalist Peter Clarke has regularly curated a list of electronics and semiconductor start-ups for the EE Times that caught his attention during the previous year as they revitalized certain sectors, spurred innovation or made important contributions to the industry. This year is the 20th time of installment of the list. Its aim is to anticipate – and articulate – the rapid and constant changes that affect markets, technologies and business models. This year, eCAPITAL portfolio company FMC is once again one of the Silicon 100.

Ferroelectric Memory GmbH (FMC) develops and markets innovative non-volatile memory solutions, in particular embedded memories for microcontrollers and systems-on-a-chip (SoC), addressing one of the key hardware challenges of the IoT era. Patented Ferroelectric Field Effect Transistor (FeFET) technology utilizes the ferroelectric property of hafnium oxide (HfO2) to transform CMOS logic transistors into efficient non-volatile memory devices.
