eCAPITAL NEWS
For the first time, the founders and CEOs of 1KOMMA5° and Enpal gave a joint interview to the FAZ on the current challenges and developments in the field of decentralised energy solutions, smart home technologies and the transition to a digital electricity market.

In an interview with Hanna Decker and Stefan Paravicini, Philipp Schröder, founder and CEO of 1KOMMA5°, emphasises the importance of intelligent energy systems that not only generate electricity, but can also actively control and store it. The development of a ‘virtual power plant’ based on networked households and the integration of photovoltaics, battery storage, heat pumps and wallboxes are at the centre of the strategy.

The interview emphasises 1KOMMA5°’s leading role in the technological and market-based development of the energy sector. In cooperation with players such as Enpal, it becomes clear how the market is increasingly developing towards digitally controlled, customer-centric solutions.

1KOMMA5° is a portfolio company of eCAPITAL and is one of the fastest-growing providers of networked, climate-neutral energy solutions for private households in Europe. The company is a prime example of the transformation of the energy market and the scalability of digitally driven business models in the cleantech sector.
