eCAPITAL mourns the death of Bernhard Wöbker
eCAPITAL NEWSBernhard Wöbker worked very closely and trustfully with eCAPITAL for many years. He was an active member of the supervisory board of our portfolio company Open-Xchange AG for over ten years and had just been elected chairman. He was also chairman of the supervisory board at Jedox AG from 2014 to 2021.
Since 2016, he has repeatedly supported and helped us at eCAPITAL with advice and action as a Venture Partner with his valuable experience and his worldwide and impressive network. The many years of close cooperation ultimately led to the shareholders of eCAPITAL AG also electing him to the supervisory board of eCAPITAL in August 2019.
His career includes numerous remarkable stations. He was CEO and President of Nixdorf USA, held senior positions at Pyramid, NeXT and Versant, was an advisor to Warburg Pincus and CEO and later supervisory board member at Brainloop.
We have always experienced Bernhard Wöbker as a personality who was highly respected by his colleagues on the various supervisory boards as well as by the management teams. His calm and balanced manner as well as his unreserved acceptance from all sides have repeatedly led us to ask him for help in critical situations as a mediator and facilitator. We will miss Bernhard Wöbker very much, we would have needed him so urgently for some open challenges.
