eCAPITAL leads A-round of climate protection technology specialist 1KOMMA5°
eCAPITAL NEWSLess than 9 months after its foundation in 2021, the CleanTech start-up 1KOMMA5° announces the closing of its Series A with eCAPITAL as lead investor. The majority of the founding team worked at former eCAPITAL portfolio company sonnen, which was sold very successfully to Shell New Energies as the largest German venture capital exit of 2019. The transaction was awarded “deal of the year” in Europe by the international Cleantech Group in 2019. sonnen founder Christoph Ostermann also participated in the financing round and becomes a member of the company’s advisory board.
With the new investment, 1KOMMA5° aims to further accelerate the company’s growth and continue the development of its Energy IoT system. The company’s goal is to make 1.5 million households CO2 neutral by 2030, contributing significantly to achieving the 1.5 degree target to limit global warming.
After the successful closing of the Series-A, Philipp Schröder is excited about the participation of eCAPITAL.
