Dr. Tim Pohlmann joins eCAPITAL as

eCAPITAL NEWS Founded in 2014, IPlytics grew into a leading B2B SaaS platform for IP and innovation strategy before being acquired by the RELX Group (LexisNexis and Elsevier) in 2022. Since then, Tim has taken on responsibility for the group’s international Intellectual Property Solutions business, with a focus on the US market.
Tim holds a PhD from TU Berlin in the field of Intellectual Property and Innovation Economics and has been active in academia as a lecturer and researcher. He combines deep sector expertise in IP analytics with hands-on entrepreneurial experience and international market exposure.
As a Venture Partner, Tim will support eCAPITAL with deal flow analysis, investment decisions and portfolio support, especially in the areas of B2B software, data-driven platforms, and scalable SaaS business models.
I am excited to again work with eCAPITAL in a new role. As a founder, I experienced the value of a strategic and founder-oriented investor. I now look forward to contributing my perspective to support early-stage teams building technology-driven businesses.
