1KOMMA5° CEO Philipp Schröder honoured with the ‘EY Entrepreneur Of The Year 2024’ award

At a festive gala in Berlin on 7 November, the ‘EY Entrepreneur Of The Year’ Germany was awarded in four categories: ‘Family Business’, ‘Innovation’, ‘Sustainability’ and ‘Young Companies’.

We are delighted that the CEO of our portfolio company 1KOMMA5°, Philipp Schröder, was honoured with the ‘EY Entrepreneur Of The Year’ award in the Sustainability category. Congratulations to Philipp Schröder and the entire 1KOMMA5° team. An impressive achievement three years after the company was founded.

The success of 1KOMMA5° is largely based on its own IoT solution, Heartbeat. It enables private households to participate in the electricity market and thus generate additional income. The energy management system is installed with a photovoltaic system and can be connected to home storage systems, heat pumps and wallboxes. It has a direct connection to the electricity market. Among other things, this allows energy prices to be analysed immediately, taking into account the weather forecast to predict photovoltaic production. ‘Heartbeat’ can automatically control what to do with the available electricity from the photovoltaic system, the home storage system and the power grid. Fluctuations in the electricity price can thus be utilised to the benefit of the end consumer.
